Historiography and Ethnography of the Region

Summary

The subject makes the students acquainted with the problems connected with historiography and ethnography appreciated as a science disciplin. It limits its position in the system of sciences and society. The contens of lectures has been built up in that way, to make the students acquainted step by step both with the general principles and concepts connected with the ethnography, and also with the particular problems – from the historical evolution of ethnical processes in various regions of our countries, their gradual forming and demonstration as far as to their significant contribution in the formation of cultural behaviour of all our society. Integral part of this subject is also student´s work using special ethnographical and historiographical literature, orientation in literary sources, ethnographical field research and study of various archival materials completed with an excursionary visit of chosen Moravian-Silesian regions, distinguished by a typical ethnographical character and habit.
