Learning Outcomes:
Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to:
Explain and connect basic concepts of general chemistry (atomic structure, nature of chemical bonding, chemical equilibrium, reaction kinetics, and thermodynamics).
Apply general chemical laws to explain the physicochemical properties and behavior of elements and their compounds.
Analytically evaluate relationships between the structure of substances and their reactivity in technical and natural processes.
Demonstrate knowledge of natural occurrence, industrial production, and practical applications of key chemical elements and materials, with an emphasis on mineral resources.
