Deposit Mining II

Summary

The students will gain the knowledge of the contemporary trends in raw
materials policy in open cast mining. The means of opening, preparation and
excavation of the deposits of coal, non-metalliferous, and building raw
materials are discussed, including the processes of mining, transport and
stocking and dumping of materials, packing of free spaces, mining from water
and block mining are discussed, as well as the means of quarry drainage and
reclamation of land and waters.
