Subject syllabus

1. Basic parameters of the Earth ellipsoid and their mutual relations. Coordinate systems on a rotating Earth ellipsoid. Mutual relations between some coordinate systems.
2. Basic concepts and relations on the reference sphere. Solution of spherical triangles on a reference sphere.
3. Solution of basic geodetic problems on a sphere. Solution of basic geodetic problems on the ellipsoid.
4. Transformation of coordinates in 3D.
5. Principle of GNSS method. Systematic and random errors.
6. Processing GPS NAVSTAR measurements. Ambiguity determination methods.
7. International service IGS.
8. CZEPOS and EUREF-EPN.
9. Earth orientation parameters.
10. Genesis of ICRS and ITRS systems.
11. European ETRS Reference System.
12. Origin of S-JTSK/95 and S-JTSK/05.
13. Theory of heights.
