Subject syllabus
1. Definition, forms and scope of land consolidation (LC), objectives and significance of LC, links to landscape planning and landscape organization.
2. Legal framework of LC, land consolidation authorities, participants in the proceedings, agricultural land resources, and links between LC, the cadastre of real estate and spatial planning.
3. Historical development of land consolidation in the Czech Republic and the current significance of LC.
4. Preparatory works, initiation of proceedings, documentation and data for LC, requirements of relevant public authorities and organizations.
5. Introductory meeting, detailed field survey and its evaluation, determination of the LC boundary and identification of property boundaries.
6. Surveying activities in LC, preparation of geodetic and property-related documentation, and their links to the cadastre of real estate.
7. Inventory of landowners’ claims, their assessment and discussion, and principles of designing a new arrangement of land parcels.
8. Common Facilities Plan – design principles, measures for improving land accessibility, field roads and related structures.
9. Common Facilities Plan – soil erosion control and water management measures, environmental protection and landscape management measures, Territorial System of Ecological Stability (ÚSES), and implementation of common facilities.
10. Design of a new arrangement of land parcels, ownership relations and easements, decisions on LC, requirements for the LC proposal, and implementation of LC.
11. Soil science – soil and the pedosphere, soil functions, soil fertility, soil texture and soil types, human impacts on soil, and the importance of soil for LC.
12. Soil properties and soil regimes, soil formation and development, soil-forming factors, soil morphology, major soil-forming and soil degradation processes.
13. Soil survey and mapping, soil information systems, soil taxonomy and classification, diagnostic soil horizons, and Evaluated Soil-Ecological Units (BPEJ).
