Summary
The course “Theory of Errors and Probability” focuses on the fundamentals of probability theory and the statistical processing of measured values, the determination of the most reliable values from measurement results, and the determination of measurement accuracies.
Professional Knowledge: Students will acquire basic knowledge of probability theory and error theory, the principles of processing measured values, and methods for determining the most reliable values and the accuracy of measurement results.
Professional Skills: Students will be able to process measurement results numerically, apply basic methods of probability theory and error theory, determine the most reliable values from measurement results, and establish their accuracy.
General Competence: Students are competent to independently assess the quality and reliability of geodetic measurement results, appropriately apply basic methods of statistical processing, and interpret the achieved accuracy of results with regard to the purpose of the measurement.
