Cadastre of Real Estate for Public and State Administration

The Land Registry of the Czech Republic is a collection of data on real estate in the Czech Republic, including an inventory and description of such properties, as well as their geometric and positional coordinates. It includes a record of ownership and other real rights, as well as other rights to such real estate as prescribed by law. The Land Registry contains a range of important data on parcels of land and selected structures, as well as their owners. Students are introduced to the historical development of the Land Registry, the provision of data from the Land Registry, and the activities involved in maintaining the Land Registry. The course focuses primarily on the rights that are registered with respect to real estate and on the procedures, that precede the registration of ownership and other real rights to real estate.
Professional Knowledge: Students will gain knowledge of the purpose, content, and methods of maintaining the Czech Republic’s real estate cadastre, of legal regulations governing the real estate cadastre, and of the principles of real estate registration, including the geometric and positional determination of properties, as well as ownership and other rights in rem.
Professional Skills: Students will be able to navigate cadastral data and apply basic procedures when solving cadastral tasks, particularly when preparing a geometric plan, recording detailed measurements of changes, and staking out property boundaries.
General Competence: The student is able to independently navigate issues related to the real estate cadastre and apply the acquired knowledge when solving basic professional and practical tasks. They are able to search for, interpret, and critically evaluate cadastral data and use it as a basis for performing surveying and related activities. They are able to comply with applicable legal and technical regulations, assess the accuracy and completeness of prepared documentation, and identify any deficiencies. They are able to collaborate effectively in solving professional tasks and responsibly apply the knowledge they have acquired in the creation of geometric plans, detailed measurement records of changes, the staking out of property boundaries, and other activities related to the real estate cadastre.
