The course provides an overview of modern approaches and technologies applied in the field of Smart Logistics. Students will become familiar with the fundamental principles of logistics systems and supply chains, logistics information systems, and digital transformation strategies in logistics. Particular attention is given to automatic identification technologies, including barcodes, QR codes, and RFID, as well as logistics data standardization and the traceability of material and information flows.
Additional topics include data analytics, logistics performance measurement using key performance indicators (KPIs), applications of the Internet of Things, digital twins, and Industry 4.0 concepts. Students will also gain an understanding of Smart Cities, intelligent transportation systems, autonomous logistics technologies, automated warehouse systems, and modern approaches to inventory management, warehousing, and material flow control. The course further addresses quality, efficiency, and sustainability aspects of logistics processes.
