The course represents the introductory and conceptual phase of creating a bachelor's thesis. Students will master the basics of professional work, academic writing and the ethical use of modern digital technologies, including artificial intelligence. They will learn to search, sort and critically assess professional literature, cite correctly according to standards and prevent plagiarism. Emphasis is placed on defining the research problem, formulating goals and compiling a methodological concept of the bachelor's thesis. The output is an approved thesis project including a comprehensive literature search.

Professional knowledge
The student defines the structure, methodological rules and formal requirements of the bachelor's thesis project according to university standards. Characterizes the principles of searching in professional sources and the rules of academic ethics when citing and using AI tools. Explains the relationship between the stated goal of the work, research questions and the choice of adequate research methods.
Professional skills
The student applies citation standards when conducting a systematic literature search. Will use the assistance of AI tools for research activities and preparation of the outline with critical verification of the outputs. Formulates the research problem, objectives and compiles a comprehensive methodological concept of the bachelor's thesis.
General competencies
The student plans a timetable for the development of a professional project. Assesses the credibility and relevance of professional sources and information generated by AI. Justifies and defends the concept and methodological framework of his project before the supervisor.
