Abbreviation TSŘ
Course title Systems Theory and Control
Credits 7
Coordinating department Department of Economics and Control Systems
Course coordinator doc. Ing. Pavel Staša, Ph.D.

Cíle předmětu

The aim of the course is to introduce students to the fundamental principles of systems theory and control and to develop systems thinking for the analysis of technical and organizational systems. Students will gain an overview of different types of systems, their properties and behaviour, and become familiar with basic methods of systems analysis and modelling.

Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to distinguish between different types of systems, describe their dynamic properties, and interpret the fundamental principles of control and regulation. Students will also gain an overview of modelling, optimization, and decision-making approaches in systems and become familiar with selected applications of systems theory in engineering and industrial practice.
