Automation in Raw Materials Industry

Summary

The course provides an overview of the area of automation in industrial practice. The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the main concepts of automation and control systems, technical cybernetics, informatics and automatic control.
An important part is the basic theory of feedback systems including the investigation of their stability, accuracy and quality of regulation. Attention is also paid to the main technical means, such as sensors and measuring technology, controllers and actuators used for regulation, etc. Last but not least, the course deals with specific cases of automation in technical practice and also the current approach in the form of Industry 4.0 is mentioned.
