Automation of Transport in Underground Coal Mines

Summary

The objective of
controlling (automatic or supervised-automatic) underground transport systems
is then ensuring the best possible continuity in haulage processes with
reduction of breakdowns, as much as possible, especially non-technological.
Moreover, the rationalization systems of automated tandem conveyor control save
energy and increase working life of conveyors. The problems need simulation
models,
implemented on a computer, which could make possible optimisation, prediction
and operative management.
