Laboratoral Practices of Chemical Processes and Biotechnologies

Anotace

Chemical processing methods are applied in processing of low grade, complex
ores or certain mineral resources to recover concentrates (metal). These
chemical methods are very closely connected with the study of mutual action of
the chemical agents and the mineral. It is very important to have the basic
and analytical knowledge of chemistry to recover quantities of pure metals
from the solution.
syllabus
Informing the students about the laboratory equipment, techniques and work
procedures as well as modi operandi in a laboratory.
Practice in blocs:
Leaching by stirring, leaching under pressure – Bayer’s method.
Segregation facility, oxidizing roasting, sulphatizing roasting.
Extraction on the principle of cation exchange, extraction on the principle of
anion exchange,
determination of ion-exchange capacity, copper cementation.
