Summary

The course will introduce students to the area of ​​soft skills, knowledge of which will enable them to be well prepared to enter the job market professionally.

Professional knowledge: The student will gain professional knowledge in the field of personal and social competencies applicable in the work environment. They will become familiar with the principles of professional communication, verbal and non-verbal communication, self-presentation and assertive behavior. They will gain knowledge of the basic rules and requirements of a job advertisement, professional CV and motivation letter in Czech and English. They will understand the principles of preparing for a job interview, its individual phases and the requirements for appropriate communication and presentation.

Professional skills: The student can independently search for and interpret relevant job offers and prepare appropriate professional documentation on their basis. They can compile a structured and content-relevant CV and motivation letter in Czech and English with regard to the requirements of a specific job position. They can systematically prepare for a job interview, appropriately present their professional knowledge, skills and personal qualifications and respond to the employer's questions. They can use the principles of verbal and non-verbal communication, identify their own communication style and adapt their appearance to a specific communication situation.

Genenal competence: The student is competent to act independently and professionally in situations related to entering the labor market and employment. They can adequately present their professional and personal competencies, formulate their professional goals and adapt the method of communication to the nature of a specific work situation. They can apply the acquired competencies in the creation of professional documentation, job interviews, team and individual communication and in other situations of professional life.
