The subject responds to the current trends of the penetration of environmental protection into economic fields. Therefore, it is crucial for students to be good oriented in this direction as well, and through the carbon footprint it is possible to approach the issue of climate protection (and the environment in general) in the best possible way. When assessing the carbon footprint, we base ourselves on the principles of financial audits, which we then supplement with an environmental dimension in the form of quantifying the resulting impact using the so-called emission factors. The general principles of management systems according to the standards of quality management and environmental management are also applied during the entire assessment process. After completing the course, students will be able to explain the principles of carbon footprint assessment and understand the importance of carbon audits in solving environmental issues. Learn to quantify environmental impacts using emission factors and apply the general principles of management systems according to quality management and environmental management standards.
