Subject syllabus

Lectures:

Pedogenic factors. Weathering processes and pedogenic processes. Mineral phases and
inorganic components in soils. Humus, humification processes. natural organic
substances in soils. Soil composition. Grain size composition of soils, and its determination
used for classification.
Color soils. Chemical composition of soils and chemical properties of soils. soil sorption
complex and sorption properties of soils. The biological component of soil, soil organisms. soil
water hydrolimity, measuring humidity. Soil air. Diagnostic soil horizons.
Principles of soil classification and comparison of different classification systems. current
Soil classification based on the classification of FAO - UNESCO. Soil types,
features and enhancements in nature. Relationships between soil types in the landscape. soil
katéna. Horizontal and vertical soil pásmovitost. Paleopedologie. soil and
ecological stability of landscape. Sampling and analysis of soils, soil water and soil
air. Soil maps.
