Subject syllabus

lectures:
1. The importance of water, water cycle on Earth. Water as a chemical compound. Physical and physicochemical properties. Sensory and sensory properties of water.
2. Chemical composition of water. Inorganic compounds in water. Organic compounds in water. The nature and properties of the contaminants.
3. Types of water. Atmospheric, subsurface, surface water. Water Resources.
4th Primary and secondary water pollution. Eutrophication. Self-cleaning capabilities.
5th Wastewater. Sewage, industrial waste water. Mixing of waste water with water in the recipient.
6. Principles of water protection. Legislation in water management. Permissible degree of contamination.
7th Wastewater. Physical methods. Physico-chemical and chemical methods.
8. Biological methods. Aerobic and anaerobic biological methods. Activation. Natural cleaning methods.
9th emergence of soils, soil-forming factors. The importance of soil. The composition of the soil, mineral and organic component.
10. Physical and chemical properties of the soil. Soil Classification. Soil profile, soil types. Soil Fund of the Czech Republic.
Damaging 11th and soil pollution. The nature and properties of the contaminants. Soil degradation.
12. Principles of protection of agricultural land and forest land. Legislation in soil conservation.
13th remediation methods. Isolation of contaminants, partial and full decontamination geological environment. Principles for the selection of remediation methods.
14. Selected remediation methods for organic contaminants, inorganic contaminants for.
