Summary

Producion and utilization of principal inorganic chemicals, e.g. industrial
gases, acids, bases and salts is studied. Applications in metallurgy ,
fertilizers production, water treatment and in silicate technology are
demonstrated. Raw materials, main operations of the processes and environmental
problems are discussed. A chemical plant is visited.
