Metallurgy of Iron and Steel

Summary

1) Part of subject is read with the purpose to outline basic contextures
and structure of metallurgical aggregates in sphere of metallurgical basic
industry. There is also paid attention to automatic device, ecological
problems and alternative methods of hot metal.
2) This part is read with the purpose to understand problems of steelmaking.
Survey and evelopment of steelmaking processes, steelmaking slags, oxidising
processes, steel deoxidisation and desulphurisation, steel production in
converters, tandem and electric furnaces, secondary metallurgy of steel, steel
casting.
