Anotace

Properties of iron ores, sinters, pellets, fluxes and metallurgical fuels and
their testing Physico-chemical processes of sintering and pelletizing.
Thermodynamic, kinetic and thermal processes of blast furnace combustion zone.
Blast furnace aerodynamics. Physico-chemical reactions in blast
furnace :volatiliozation, decomposition of hydrates, water-gas shift reaction,
carbon deposition, decomposition of carbonates ect. Thermodynamics, kinetics
and mechanismus of iron oxides reduction. Direct and indirect reduction.
Effect of direct reduction on coke rate. Optimum coke rate calculation.
Reduction of various elements. Blast furnace slags. Chemistry of sulphur
reaktion. Removal of sulphur. Carburization of iron. Pig iron grades.
