Technical materials for design

This course, aimed at industrial design students, provides a comprehensive introduction to key technical materials such as metals, polymers, wood, and ceramics. Emphasis is placed on understanding the relationship between their microscopic structure and macroscopic properties, which is essential for informed decision-making in the design process. The course also includes basic strength tests and measurements, which provide students with practical insight into the behavior of materials under load.
