Specific designs and materials

The course provides a comprehensive insight into technical documentation and manufacturing technologies as key knowledge for industrial and interior design. Students are introduced to basic concepts, terminology, and standards for drawing, including the correct use of line types and principles for drawing floor plans, sections, and elevations. Emphasis is placed on the creation of drawing documentation for construction and engineering practice.
The second part of the course focuses on the technological aspects of design. The production and design of products from the main groups of materials are presented: metals, plastics, rubbers, wood, and inorganic materials. Necessary surface treatments and the basics of production organization are also included. Graduates will gain the practical knowledge necessary to transition from design to implementation.
