Practicum of CAD/CAM systems

Summary

The CAD/CAM Practicum course focuses on expanding students’ knowledge and skills in computer-aided design and manufacturing. The main content includes hands-on work with advanced features of SolidWorks for 3D modelling and the subsequent preparation for production using CAM tools. Students will be introduced to both CNC machining methods and rapid prototyping technologies, particularly 3D printing. Emphasis is placed on the integration of the design and manufacturing phases, including CAM program creation, tool selection, workpiece preparation, and basic machine setup.
