Code 632-3028
Abbreviation AMTD III
Course title Atelier MTD III
Coordinating department Department of Materials and Technologies for Vehicles
Course coordinator MgA. Petr Sehnoutka, DiS., Ph.D.

Summary

As part of the course, students will apply the knowledge they have acquired in the field of materials and technologies to their own design projects.
The projects focus on solving complex design tasks with an emphasis on technological feasibility, material innovation, and the possibilities of serial or repeatable production. The studio develops students' ability to combine design proposals with knowledge of materials research and production technologies.
Students work with advanced design methodology, which includes analysis of user needs, ergonomics, environmental aspects, marketing contexts, and technological limits of production. Emphasis is placed on experimental work with materials, verification of material properties, and full-scale prototyping of designs.
The studio also includes the application of digital tools (3D modeling, visualization, 3D scanning, additive manufacturing) and their integration with traditional modeling techniques. Projects may be thematically linked to the development of experimental or prototype products in the field of industrial design.
