Subject syllabus

1. Thermo-dynamic conditions of plastic deformation, boundary and energy and force parameters of forming.
2. Prediction of evolution of structure of selected metals and alloys in dependence on conditions of the applied strain.
3. Basic mechanisms for strengthening of metallic materials, constitutive equations.
4. Hydro-mechanical forming, hydrostatic extrusion, Cobapress method.
5. Preparation of ultra-fine grained and nano-structural materials by severe plastic deformation.
6. Properties and structural stability of ultra-fine grained and nano-structural materials.
7. Isothermal and super-plastic forming, technical applications.
8. Thermo-mechanical forming of micro-alloyed steels.
9. Conventional and hydrostatic extrusion.
10. Cold forming, forming under cryogenic temperatures and semi-heating.
11. Frequency and thixotropic forming.
12. Forming by high parameters, forming of blanks prepared by powder metallurgy.
13. Influence of strain rate and state of stress and flow stress and formability of metallic materials.
14. Rotational and radial forming, transverse wedge rolling.
15. Dynamic forming, forming in vacuum, use of ultra-sound at forming.
