Ceramic materials

Summary

The course is focused on providing a basic overview of functional and special refractory ceramic materials. Students will learn to differentiate between various types of ceramic materials based on their properties and correctly categorize them for specific applications. They will also gain knowledge about raw materials, manufacturing technologies, testing, and practical uses of these materials. The course includes field trips to companies and a professional lecture from practice.
