Summary

Principles of joining technologies. Removable and permanent joints
of materials and structures. State of the art and advances in joining of
materials - welding, brazing, soldering, adhesive bonding, mechanical fastening
(riveting and bolting) and use of unique joining techniques.
Specific topics include physical principles of joining methods, joint design,
processing procedures, equipment, materials, quality control requirements,
mechanical and nondestructive testing, damage processes in joints, process
selection and applications.
