Corrosion and protection in energetics

Summary

Basic knowledge of thermodynamics and kinetics of corrosion processes, as well as methods of corrosion protection in the conditions of energy. Local types of corrosion and interaction of mechanical loads. Corrosion processes in gases at higher temperatures and specific types of corrosion in the energy industry. The study of corrosion protection is focused on the choice of suitable material with regard to environmental characteristics and technical requirements. Protective coatings (coatings), environmental treatment, cathodic protection and appropriate design solutions. Standardized procedures for testing, monitoring and assessing corrosion resistance of materials
