Subject syllabus

Controlled forming characteristics, basic methods of thermomechanical processing, controlled rolling.
Mechanical properties of controlled formed products. Structure development during controlled forming.
Physical and metallurgical processes during thermomechanical forming. Problem of precipitation and other hardening processes.
Softening processes during thermomechanical forming processes characteristic.
Interaction of hardening and softening processes, precipitation kinetics, recrystallisation kinetics, grain growth.
Types of recovery processes description, microstructural effects accompanying structure recovery processes
Controlled forming of microalloyed steels, austenitic steels, TRIP steels, ULCB steels, high-alloyed steels.
Basic parameters of controlled forming, specific controlled forming processes (SHT, HDR, HCR).
Problems of controlled cooling. Controlled cooling of wires in rolling mills industrial conditions.
