Subject syllabus

Theoretical principles of plastic deformation, strain and strain rate.
Tension on coordinate planes, normal and tangential (shear) stress components.
State of stress in common plane, octahedral plane.
Principal normal stress, state of stress ellipsoid.
State of stress invariance and mathematical formulation of three invariants.
Mohr circles, tension in octahedral plane.
Graphical determination of tangential tension, stress tensor.
Schemas of principal stresses, deviator schema of stress and invariance of stress deviator.
Stress intensity and its determination by various methods.
States of stress, state of stress indicator.
Differential equation of equilibrium in rectangular coordinates.
Outline of solving differential equation of equilibrium in cylindrical and spherical coordinates.
Differential equation of equilibrium in roll gap at longitudinal rolling.
Tensor expression of strain and strain rate, schemas of deformation.
