Characteristics of thermomechanical forming (TMP), basic methods of such processing. Mechanical properties of TMP products. Structure development during TMP. Problems connected with precipitation and subsequent hardening processes. Definition of softening processes during TMP. Interaction between hardening and softening processes, kinetics of precipitation and recrystallization, grain growth. Structural phenomena surrounding softening processes. Controlled cooling technology. Physical and computer simulations in view of mutual effect of temperature and structure phenomena. TMP of Ti and Al alloys.
