Technology for the production of castings from non-ferrous metal alloys

Summary

The subject is aimed at theoretical and practical aspects of of the production of castings from non-ferrous metal alloys. Particular attention is paid to the most commonly used materials based on aluminum, copper and magnesium, and partly also to alloys of titanium and zinc, etc. The course deals with the issues of melting, casting and heat treatment of these materials. Specific defects of castings from these alloys are also presented, including their determination and prediction.
