Subject syllabus

Introduction to the study of the subject - overview of metals, history of the use of non-ferrous metals, overview of materials used for common and modern applications.
Basic description of pure metal production technologies, economic and ecological aspects.
Overview of technologies for the preparation of selected special alloys and materials, economic and ecological aspects.
Relationships between preparation technologies and material properties.
Basic information in the field of waste management.
An overview of recycling technologies used for the processing of selected types of waste.
