The study is focused on the electromagnetic waves propagation in different media: homogeneous, inhomogeneous, absorbing, isotropic, and anisotropic. The attention is devoted to the interface effects. The specification of matrix algebra for electromagnetic wave interaction description with gyrotropic and bi-gyrotropic materials. The determination od complex system matrix.
