Summary

The subject describes fundamental aspects of developing parallel applications, their analysis, and optimisation. For a given application, students will be able to identify and explain critical points from a scalability perspective, propose an appropriate parallelisation strategy to implement, and measure the achieved results. All the techniques will be demonstrated on practical examples on supercomputers operated by IT4Innovations National Supercomputing Center.
