In the course, students will learn about the basic terminology of psychosocial risks, their causes and approaches to the prevention of these specific risks. An important part of the subject is familiarization with the process of managing psychosocial risks, from their identification through analysis, evaluation and proposal of measures. Students will gain information about the impact of psychosocial risks not only on employees, but also on the entire company. The entire area of the emergence of psychosocial risks in a broader context is addressed. Therefore, attention is also paid to organizational culture and related issues focused on the position and role of the manager, leadership and management of people, working conditions, competences, attitudes, motivation, commitment, delegation and empowerment, communication in the organization, workplace relations and conflict management.
The subject will be supplemented with practical and up-to-date information from the business sphere, which will be focused both on the specific negative effects of psychosocial risks and on positive examples from the field of prevention.
