Summary

The aim of the course is to introduce students to the basic theoretical and methodological backgrounds of regional development and regional policy, which are subsequently applied to the determinants and settings of regional policy in the selected EU Member States (eg. Great Britain, France, Italy, Germany, Finland and the Netherlands) and the European Union as a whole. Upon completion of the course, the students are prepared to solve practical problems in the field of the EU Cohesion Policy in the follow-up Master's degree.
