Diploma Seminar A

Summary

The aim of the course is to prepare students for elaboration of diploma thesis on given topic. Due to the different focus of the diploma thesis topics and the specificity of the conditions of the individual solutions, the seminar takes the form of individual consultations according to the student's needs and with regard to the stages of the thesis. Students learn to define the subject of research, they orientate themselves in information sources, carry out literature review, formulate the aim of the thesis and expected results of the thesis, propose applied methods and methodology and form a logical structure of the thesis. At this stage, the students are also explained the principles of elaboration of the thesis, citation principles and citation issues. One of the results of the diploma seminar A is the proposal of the Diploma thesis assignment, which is submitted to the head of the department and the dean for signature.
