Lecture topics:
Introduction to the discipline - history of rock disintegration, basic concepts
Classical and non-classic rock disintegration
Blasting operation - tools of blasting, properties and handling with them
Initiation of explosive charges - principle, connection, suitability and guarantee initiation, unwanted initiation, millisecond blasting technique
Theory of rock disintegration by explosion - basic parameters of blasting
Technology of blasting for the excavation of underground line structures
Blasting for the excavation of underground large cross-sections structures
Saving technologies (smooth blasting) - methods, principles, determination of basic parameters
Non-productive blasting operation to prevent unwanted geomechanical phenomenas
Blasting works for mining of mineral resources
Reduction of blasting operations by application in explosive atmospheres (gaseous coal mines)
Harmful effects of explosion (air pressure wave, material spill, fume toxicity, seismic effects of blasting)
Mechanical rock disintegration (cutting, crushing, pressing), application of knives, rolling chisels, etc. - drilling machines, tunnel machines, shields, hydraulic hammers
