Designing

The course is focused on acquiring skills in working with project documentation and introducing students to the methodology of processing projects focused on brownfield revitalization. Students will learn to use standard project management procedures, navigate the individual phases of project preparation and implementation, analyze the potential of the area and apply appropriate regeneration strategies with regard to sustainability, the legislative framework and the specifics of a particular location.

Professional Knowledge:
The student understands the fundamental principles of project management, the methodology for planning and implementing brownfield regeneration projects, as well as issues related to spatial planning and the legislative and environmental requirements associated with land redevelopment. The student is familiar with project documentation, project financing mechanisms, and the principles of sustainable development.

Professional Skills:
The student is able to analyze the potential of brownfield sites, prepare and evaluate project documentation, propose appropriate regeneration strategies, and apply project management tools throughout the different phases of a project. The student can identify project risks, develop measures to mitigate them, and present proposed solutions while considering technical, economic, environmental, and social aspects.

General Competence:
The student is capable of working independently and as part of a team to address tasks related to the preparation and implementation of brownfield regeneration projects. The student can critically assess available information, communicate effectively with both professional and non-professional audiences, and take responsibility for proposed solutions. The student applies the principles of ethical conduct, sustainability, and lifelong learning in professional practice.
