Subject syllabus

1. Introduction. The sun and its radiation. Horizontal and equatorial coordinates of the sun. Insolation of indoor and outdoor spaces - legislative requirements, calculation methods.
2. Methods and examples of solutions for insolation and insolation of indoor and outdoor spaces. Design of anti-sun measures.
3. Daylight and lighting - photometric quantities. Factors affecting the access of light to the interior.
4. Daylighting of buildings - daylight factor and calculation model of the sky. Requirements for daylighting of living rooms, recreation rooms, workplaces.
5. Assessment of the effect of shading on existing buildings in terms of DO. Combined and artificial lighting.
6. Daylighting of difficult-to-illuminate spaces. Methods and examples of solutions for daylighting.
7. Acoustics - physical nature of sound, sound perception, effect of sound and noise on human health. Legislation.
8. Sound propagation in outdoor space. Noise sources. Noise attenuation. Design of noise control measures.
9. Acoustics of building structures - sound propagated through air and structure. Acoustic absorption of surfaces of building structures and interior space.
10. Acoustics of building structures - airborne sound insulation of building structures.
11. Acoustics of building structures - impact sound insulation of building structures.
12. Noise propagation in indoor space.
13. Basics of room acoustics.
