Mechanics I

Summary

The content of the subject of Mechanics I is divided in several principal areas :

• kinematics of the movement of bodies and their systems (mechanisms),
• forces and force systems,
• statics of bodies and their systems,
• dynamics of movement of bodies and their systems,
• foundation of mechanical vibration.

In the subject of Mechanics I the students acquire the basic knowledge on motion of bodies and their systems and they get acquainted with the principal rules and relations between the force action and the movement. The prerequisity for the study is completing the subjects of basis of mathematics and physics in the extent taught at the technological universities in the Czech Republic.
