The graduate of the course will be able to identify and describe the basic principles of aircraft performance assessment, explain the influence of operational, meteorological, and aircraft-related parameters on flight performance, and characterize aviation regulatory and certification requirements related to aircraft performance. The graduate will be able to describe individual flight phases, evaluate the influence of aircraft mass, configuration, centre of gravity position, air density, wind, and airport characteristics on aircraft performance, and interpret data provided in aircraft flight manuals. The graduate will be able to apply acquired knowledge to aircraft performance calculations, determine requirements for safe take-off, landing, and other flight phases, and use available computational tools and electronic aids for operational decision-making support. The graduate will be able to evaluate operational limitations, propose appropriate procedures for performance optimization, and assess the impact of abnormal conditions on flight safety. The graduate will be able to independently assess aircraft performance aspects, justify selected solutions based on technical data, communicate professional information, and take responsibility for decisions related to safe aircraft operation.
