Computer Simulation of Logistics Processes I

Language of instruction angličtina, čeština
Code 342-3362
Abbreviation PSLP I
Course title Computer Simulation of Logistics Processes I
Coordinating department Institute of Transport
Course coordinator doc. Ing. Michal Dorda, Ph.D.

Summary

Students will acquire a grasp of the fundamental theoretical principles of discrete simulation methods, which can be applied to solving real-world problems in the field of logistics and the planning of logistics systems. Students will also learn to work with the Witness Horizon simulation software – they will understand the significance and application of individual discrete elements, be able to configure their basic properties, and define the relationships between them. Students will master the basic statistical methods necessary for preparing input data and evaluating simulation results. Students will be able to solve real-world problems in the field of transport and logistics using discrete simulation methods.
