Summary
The course is based on Module 022 – Aircraft Instruments, Module 040 – Human Performance and Limitations, and Module 070 – Operational Procedures, Annex II of European Commission Decision No. 2016/008/R. It builds upon the courses Aircraft Instrumentation I and Fundamentals of Electrical Engineering in Aviation I.
The course content focuses on the description of the principles and functions of instruments and avionics systems of modern transport aircraft designed for instrument flight. It also aims to provide students with knowledge of the legislation governing instrument flight and the procedures for conducting instrument flight operations, including procedures for operations in low visibility conditions.
In addition, the course introduces students to practical procedures, which are practiced throughout the semester using a flight simulator.
