Anotace
Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to identify the fundamental principles of air navigation and aeronautical communications, describe the Earth's coordinate system, the Earth's magnetic properties, aeronautical charts, basic navigation concepts, VFR flight planning, the principles of radiotelephony communications, standard aviation phraseology, Q-code groups, communication failure procedures, and distress and urgency procedures.
Students will be able to apply fundamental navigation and communication procedures during the preparation and conduct of VFR flights, prepare a basic navigation plan, use standard radiotelephony phraseology, interpret aeronautical charts, and evaluate the correctness of navigation and communication procedures with regard to flight safety and applicable aviation regulations.
Students will be able to independently resolve model navigation and communication scenarios during VFR operations, justify the selected procedures based on applicable aviation regulations and standard aviation phraseology, take responsibility for navigation and radiotelephony decision-making, and evaluate risks associated with navigation and communications during VFR flight.
Successful completion of the course forms part of the theoretical training for the Private Pilot Licence (PPL). The course is based on Module 060 – Navigation and Module 090 – Communications and provides the knowledge and skills required for the theoretical examinations leading to the issue of the Private Pilot Licence (PPL) by the Civil Aviation Authority of the Czech Republic.
