Summary
Graduates will be able to describe the position and significance of air transport within the transport system and the national economy, and characterize the fundamental economic and operational aspects of its functioning. They will be able to explain the basic principles of the air transport market, the relationship between supply and demand, the main business models of air carriers, and the fundamentals of airline economics, including pricing. They will be able to interpret key operational and economic performance indicators for air carriers and describe the impact of regulation, safety, environmental requirements, and digitalization on air transport operations and economics. Furthermore, they will be able to apply the knowledge gained to solve operational and economic problems in the field of air transport and to prepare a semester project on a selected topic.
