Non-communications Application of Optical Fiber

Summary

The aim of this course is to acquaint students with the use of optical fibers not only as a communication medium but also as a element suitable for sensory use. Students are familiar with the differences between communication and sensory fibers, division of fiber optic sensors, futhermore with the basic characteristics, principles and processes, which are using in these fibers for the sensory application and also with practical applications of these sensors.
