Power Systems

Summary

Substantial part of production and consumption of electrical energy is connected with electromechanical energy change. Electrical drive is basic component of this change. Its efficiency influences total efficiency electromechanical energy change.
In connection with using the new electric apparatus, machines, control methods and modern power switched solid-state systems application it leads to strong improvement of electrical drives parameters.
The target of this subject is explaining the basic terms of electric power systems, electric apparatus, machines, power electronics and electrical drives.
Practical laboratories link up to theoretical lectures in departments laboratories.
Acquired knowledges create the component part of general knowledges of faculty of electrical engineering graduate.
