Advanced Computer Networks Technologies

Summary

The subject purpose is to make students familiar with modern computer networks technologies. Students will understand Ethernet principles in detail and will be able to diagnose PPP-based WAN links problems. They will also be able to interconnect LANs using ISDN, Frame Relay and ATM, will understand VLANs and remote network management. MPLS, Voice-over-IP and access networks architectures will be also discussed. Practical network constructions and traffic measurement will be performed in the networking laboratory.
